The great Do-Re-Mi Tour

This tour is the perfect combination of the city of Salzburg and its beautiful countryside, known as the Lakes and Mountains District, which is located east of Salzburg. Besides a general city tour this tour also covers all the important sites from the famous movie Sound of Music like the Mirabell gardens with the Pegasus fountain, the Festival district, the Castle of Leopoldskron, which was used for the backside of the von Trapp house, the Gazebo at the Hellbrunn Park, the famous areal view across Lake Wolfgang and the wedding church in Mondsee. As the movie is based on a true story this tour also leads to the real places of the von Trapp family.

This tour starts with a stop at the Mirabell gardens in the new town, where you have the option to walk through. From there it leads across the river Salzach to the old town with all its important sights and places. The next stop is the Castle of Leopoldskron located at a beautiful lake within the city, followed by the Castle and the Park of Hellbrunn, where the Gazebo is placed. From there this tour continues via the real von Trapp Villa to the Lakes and Mountains District past Lake Fuschl to Lake Wolfgang with a stunning view across the town of St. Gilgen and the lake. The last stop of this tour will be in Mondsee with the wedding church of the movie Sound of Music. From there it is a short drive back to Salzburg City.
